Becca Korby, executive director of Healthy Families of Clallam County and its Child Advocacy Center was at Port Angeles Business Association‘s meeting on November 29, 2016 to talk about the problems of local domestic violence and sexual assault and the prevention of child abuse.
While at the meeting, Sarah Abbott, representing Necessities and Temptation’s owner Edna Petersen, presented Becca Korby with a donation for Healthy Families of $900. The $900 was the tips N&T employees had received over the past two months at the store.

Necessities and Temptations owner, Edna Petersen, was recently recognized by the Port Angeles Business Association for “Her Distinguished Leadership as 2015 President.”

The store celebrates 17 years in downtown Port Angeles this July 2015. Edna opened the store in 1998. Through economic ups and downs, downtown construction projects, and anything in between, the store continues to grow.
Congratulations to Edna for receiving recognition for her community impact as a leader in literacy from United Way of Clallam County in 2015. The people in Port Angeles, and Clallam County as a whole, are very generous with their time and money when helping worthy causes.
